Re: hot engine won't start
A heat-soaked starter won`t crank, sometimes, even when jump-starting off another vehicle. It`s just bound up,nothing electrical.I got through a hole summer by carrying a water cooler or a few water bottles to dump on the starter and header to cool it.I`d pull up,pop the hood to allow heat to escape,do my business, get in and try to start(mine wouldn`t even click.Just the warning lights would glow),no start, pour water on,close hood, start and go.The starter lasted all summer/thousands of miles.Sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do.
