Is there a flat spot on the block (just in front of the head on thepassenger side of the engine)? If so, take the numbers off of there and see what the dealer will cross reference them to. In reality, Anyone can build a dang responsive 350 or 400 motor. The motors are basically the same with the difference being in the crank's "throw". the 400 has a longer stroke than the 350. That is how 383s are created, a 400 crank in a .030 bored out 350 motor.
