It totally depends on what look you want. Its really pretty simple, if you want the stock original look go with the stock A6, it will work fine. If you have a custom and don't care if it looks original, use a later model more efficient compressor, a lot of people do that and they look and work great. I have a stock setup in my 71 that uses the old A6 but has been coverted to 134 and I am very plesed with how it works and looks but if I were building a custom truck that wasn't going to be original I would probably add a vintage air kit that is more efficient.
