Interesting...I have a 72 CS with factory AC, but I do not have a vacuum controlled flap at the RH kick panel, but rather a "standard" pull lever actuation. Similar to those seen on a non AC truck.

I've had the truck 7 years, but can't speak to before then. Did the 72 ever just do a standard RH vent? I do have the vacuum fresh air dump at the cowl and the vacuum heater shut off valve. Thoughts? Dave
