I'm in the middle of repairing my stepside fenders and one of the small pockets that encloses the marker light is about rusted away. The metal around it is in good shape. I was thinking about welding up a small box to replace it. Then I thought, Has anyone removed it? It is full of holes and not water proof.

I thought about just shaving the whole light but I realy wan to put one of the deluxe marker lamps back in.
