Ok well... some of you have caught the hints I was dropping about something I was working on... and well.. it didnt turn out as well as I had planned... The thread recently that came up again about the making the gauges brighter made me go ahead with my project that I had planned for quite some time. I had done the chrome mod previously in my 82 and it seemed to help.. but I thought for sure my idea would out do it..
I attempted to use aluminum foil to line the reflective part that is normally blue. I suppose I need to take the entire cluster out and paint/foil behind all the gauges.. this maybe where my downfall is on both sets of gauges. I installed the painted chrome one.. then the foil one.. and there really wasnt much noticable difference to warrant the extra time... oh well..... live and learn.
