I second the Blaster SS. It's cheaper than many big coils and puts out some serious power.
I've got one on my "other" toy (see my sig below) and when I installed it, I did a little experiment at night using a short piece of welding rod to arc it over to an alternator bolt to see what the spark looked like and how far it would jump. I had the distributor out at the time, so I just rotated it by had to fire the coil.
WOW!!
Not only did it jump a good 1.25", but the spark was blue and about 1/8" wide! It also made a sound that's hard to describe in writing. Something like "braanngppp". It was truly impressive. I was so excited I went into the house and grabbed my wife. When I did the demo for her I got a little too close to the coil and it got me good. I was wearing some Craftsman mechanics gloves at the time, but I guess the coil didn't care. It got me in one finger and I felt it, literally, all the way down into my toes.

It hurt like hell, but at least I know what it feels like now.
I seriously didn't get all the feeling back in that finger until about 24 hrs later. No kidding!
