The older factory hood skins were glued together underneath, where the cross braces are. The glue dries out and then the hood starts to flex like a wing. A neat trick is to go to an Auto Parts store and purchase a tube of Urethane windshield sealer and shoot the goo in between the ribs (cross braces) and the hood skin. Give it 24 hours and then drive the truck without flex or fear.
