Alot depends on how flexy your suspension is but...
The mods I'd recommend before the hard core wheeling trips would be these:
*Remove the inner fenders, they're going to hit/rub.
*Have at least 8" of lift along with the metal trimming.
*Rear drive shaft will want to have a double cardon joint for the amount lift needed.
*Front shaft will be happier with 1410 yolks and at least a 12" slip joint in it.
*Beefing up the front axles won't hurt either, going to some 4340 shaft's and upgraded u-joint's is worth thinking about.
*Rear disc's could be on the 'later' list.
*Some sort of hydro steering, assist or full w/cooler.
*High steer kit.
*Quality diff covers.
Installing the 454, doubler and th-400 should now be at the top of the list!
