I bought a 68 from a guy and he welded a nut to the driver side of the hood latch and when you shut the hood he had a bolt that would run through handle on the hood through the support a to the nut on the other side. He cut a boxed end 5/8 wrench in half and tightened the bolt down. Works great and you can get regular wrench or socket on otherwise.
