I really like quarter sawn white oak, it has Character, harder than red oak, and it finishes up nice. Here is a pic of a board member I did a white oak set for

White oak is beautiful and is definitely the wood I'll be using if I go that route. I may just use a composite decking material...I dunno. Nice to see a fellow woodworker here

The companies that sell the kits make a killing off of the bedwood, but not everybody has...or has access to the tools that make it possible. Nice work on that bed, too!
