Re: rack and pinion on stock style c-member?
One of the issues is the lower a frame hits the Tbird or pinto rack mount. I had to modify my stock A frame to clear. If you used tube style id may be ok.
The other issue is getting the rack back far eniugh so the tie rods are straight. I had to cut back the rounded part in the front so it was straight across the front.
