Nice freeware photo editor and photo/slideshow viewer can be downloaded from ZD net and others. Its called Irfanview 32. Best to down load it from
www.irfanview.com/ it has simple resizing and editing tools plus you can change file types, bitmaps to jpegs and back. Really cool slideshow viewer to. Its pretty small doesn't take long to download. I hardly ever use anytthing else. hope this helps!
