If it says it's prohibited in '07 and later (newer), that means it is NOT the new ULSD. The diesel that's readily available today will damage the new '07 engines. The '07 (& newer) diesels require this Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel. That's all that will be around come 2010.

Now, the '06 and older diesels can use the ULSD, but it would be recommended that you do use some additive (such as that available from AMSOIL, as mentioned above) to help put some lubricity back into the fuel. Lower sulfur means less lubrication means more wear on injectors and pumps.

Same thing is happening w/the oil for the '07 diesels. New oil spec is CJ-4.
