A.P. is right just backwards. disconnect the power wire to the tank,the guage will fall to empty(no power),then ground the wire and the guage will read full.(do all this with the key on) If the guage does not change readings then you either have a bad connection(doubtful)or the guage is faulty.If the guage does change readings then the sending unit /float could be the culprit.-Sorry A.P. not trying to step on your toes!
