mine had the blockoff plate bolted on it but when i took it off it wasn't machined for the mechanical pump so i just used in inline electrical pump works fine, maybe this block wasn't an 88 as said it was thats what the guy told me i know at first it had the centerbolt heads on it then i ditched them
