I sanded/stained my wood and then prepped it for clearcoat. I used automotive clear, 3 coats, and it has held up outstanding!! I wanted a bed that was show quality, and from the couple shows I've been to since getting this thing done, my bed has looked the best by far. It's been 7 or 8 months now with the wood cleared and it appears the same as the day after I shot it.
