Post intake casting # ID please

My son's 2bbl on the ole 350 is now junk. We have the Edelbrock 1406 ready to go. I have 2 cast iron 4bbl intakes to choose from. One is 3965577 and I think it's off a 69 or 70 350. The other is 340234 (340284?), unknown.

Both are identical except for the way the 4bbl intake is cast. Both are for q-jets but are slightly different.

2 ?'s:

1. What are these from?
2. Pros and cons, which would you use?

On a budget, just using available parts, not wanting to buy new intake.

Thanks
