Although to this day, no one has believed me except for a handful of about 10 people, my truck
was built
without a cat and with no A.I.R. pump. The reason is, the guy I bought it from lived in a town next to mine, was a farmer, and ordered it that way. As some farmers will let you know, you can't have a cat on a truck in the field full of hay - it can catch fire and burn it all up. So anyways, I try telling the inspection guy this. "Nice try, buddy," he says.
So, after heading to the junkyard and buying all of this crap, then being forced to put it on there, then going and having a cat put on, I finally got inspected.
According to Texas law, I should be free in like 4 years
