You sound like me a little! My "basic"72 was a MO truck . Only option was,k10, factory AC, PB, and PS . The original box and doors had no rust, but, man they used it as a pickup and they were beat to death. So now it has a 68 bed from CA, doors from TX , tach/speedminder from a 67, tilt from a 71, tailgate from another 72 (sat in garage since new), steering wheel from 70 Corvette, etc. ,etc......

I also have a 70 short 4x4 basket from AZ and I just bought a 67 C10 2wd lb from CO. .... both future projects.

I see you must live in Rock Island? Im only about an hour away. Have to do some "bench racing" sometime!!! Steve
