Re: Wear your seatbelt

I got stopped a few years ago and given a citation for not wearing my seatbelt. I went to court with it and told the judge that it should be my choice whether I want to wear it or not. He said according to the law it was manditory that I wear it and he fined me something like $45 plus court costs. I asked him if I would be penalized if I stated my thoughts on the fine and he said no. I told him I thought that was a small price to pay for my individual freedom. All he said was "you may go now". I thanked him and walked out. I still decide when I do and do not wear the seatbelt.
