Thanks for the info.I have used the swap joints you talk of in many of our 4x4 projects when we go from 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton axles.Do you not like the dana 60 rear axle.It has theright width for the spring pads and i think it si pretty close in complete width.I plan on doing a complete disc brake conversion using 82' 1 ton front suspension and converting the rear to disc also using stuff we use in our 4x4 rock buggies.I still want to maintain some degree of nostaligia.The truck is equipped with a flat bed that is about as old as the truck itself.Not sure of the orign of the bed.Thanks for the help
