hello and welcome,nice ride,,,if i'm reading right the 2 screws you loosened are the screws that hold the cap on? if so thats not what your after,tighten them back down,the bottom part they are screwed to is your distributor,,look at that and out of the bottom of it you will see a shaft going down into the block,on that shaft right where it goes into block you will see a little hold down bracket,probably has one bolt holding it,,,thats what u need to loosen to turn distibutor...
