alot of them do, mostly heavy halfs and only 3/4 and 1 tons did, ive had quite a few 73-81's with two piecers including but not limited to:
76 GMC 1500 th350 350
81 3/4 ton 2wd 350 4 speed
74 3/4 ton 454 th400
76 3/4 ton 454 th350
had a 78 Big10 th350 350 that had more GVW than a regular 1/23 ton and it only had a 72" one piecer in it.
vans used two piecers even though most vans had short wheelbase.
and, also 67-72 didnt only use two piece shafts, alot of them had one piecers
its the drivetrain and series of truck that determined what driveshaft style it got, not the year
