I did go back and spray PB Blaster down the spark plug holes. Several people told me that the WD40 will eventually evaporate, but the PB has some oil in it that stays around for a while. I eventually plan to go with either a 283 (kinda era-correct), or either a 500 Cadillac (cool to me). I would like to drive the 235 for a while, though.
