Re: almost finished LWB/SWB conversion

well, one thing i did different from the other conversion: he said to measure 6" back and mark it and cut the 14" section out. I went a little further (cant remember but ill post it in th ewrite up) so that the gas tank brackets will bolt up to the stock holes. also the frame is the exact same width where i cut and welded it back together. where as 6" back from the cab its about 3" wide and 14" back from that is only about 2" wide. also, instead of wrapping a piece of steal around the outside of the frame im going to use a "fish plate" and weld in a patch inside of the frame. it will not be noticeable and it may be stronger....? i already had 16gal tanks, but i have to cut the pipe on the filler neck.
