I have an 87 short stepside 6.2 Diesel. It was originally a short fleetside, but I swapped the box since the original was hashed. I bought the truck from the original owner and it has over 400k on it but I think the engine has been out and rebuilt. This guy special ordered it to get the shortbed with a Diesel. It is a fully loaded Silverado.

My uncle bought an 84 off the showroom floor and put 620k on it without ever taking off a valve cover. He went through over a dozen trannies but that is another story.

My little diesel gets over 25mpg on the highway. Its no speed demon, but at over double the mileage of my 84 k10 with a 350 gas engine, I can't afford not to drive it!
