Me being one so to speak or used to be any how. Circle track guys run open headers all the time. I ran open or at least very short pipes most of the seven years that I raced. Brad does have a point with the cold air though most circle track stuff goes on in the warmer weather. if you have a concern there just form some kind of temperary plug to put in the back of the header when you stop it will only need to be there for a short time.
