Longhorn, You're correct about the pontiac motors. Basically the same block used for 326-455. They changed bore and stroke to get more cubes. I have a lead on one but will have to pull if i want it. I'll probably look at my 400 when it warms up to see if it be worth my while. I have a mostly original longbed so i thought I might do something different with this one. Thanks for the reply. 72army: Thanks for the info will check. I believe the oil filter on my early 400 does come down beside pan similiar to my chevys.
