With the panhard bar disconnected,... most likely the rearend will shift to one side. I connected a ratchet strap to the frame and then across to the opposite trailing arm.Then I pull the rearend until each backing plate was the same distance from the frame. This will center the rearend. Then you can adjust the panhard bar until it will line up with the bracket. Also do this with the weight of the truck on the rearend. (up on jackstands) to simulate ride height. Not with the axle hanging.
