Installing lockouts
I just installed lockouts on my truck last week and am questioning somethingh that has been bothering me. I removed the auto hubs that were in it and the only clip that was holding it in was the one holding it to the hub on the outside. There was not anything on the axle. Well I installed warn lockouts in it and I removed everything inside hub except the hub nuts and the hub would slide in only far enough to get the outside ring clip in and would need another 1/4 in to get the circlip for the axle in it. If I were to get the lockout assembly into the hub that far I will have to remove the locking nut inside the hub. I know these hubs come with extra stuff for a multitude of of applications but I was wondering if this was right. The instructions called for the removal of spacers and washers but no nuts. I forgot to mention; 87 k10 with a 10 bolt front.
