While I agree with part of what you are saying, there are plenty of locker and gearing selections for Dana 70's. Anywhere from 3.07's up to 7.17. If you need more (or less) gearing than that, you need another type of axle (and perhaps some mental help
) Detroit locker, lock-right, power lock posi, arb air locker, and im sure there are more.
If you think some brake parts are tough to find for Chevy's, those front brakes will be just as much of a nightmare, not to mention if you have to replace kingpins or any other parts.
