i just replaced the turn signal switch on my 1970 c10. in the process, i used an air ratchet to re attach the steering wheel, and tore up the threads on the steering shaft. this is the origonal non tilt column, and i wouldnt mind just replacing the entire column if i have destroyed it. any advice??

i really want to know where everyone is getting the aftermarket ccolumns. or. would a column from another (more modern) chevy truck fit???? please help!
