In reply to the locker front and one hub disengaged...it`s never good to engage the front axle(4HI/4LO)with the hubs disengaged(Free).They were designed to be locked and free-wheeling is for just that...hubs Free/2HI.
If you run a locker/spool in front and get in trouble steering,disengage front axle to turn.
