Re: how to get a 1/2 ton to sit up like a 3/4??
Find a local spring shop to re-arch your springs.
On my 70 4x4 3/4 ton, I paid $491, tax included, for one day service to have the springs re-arched and have an add-a-leaf 2" lift front and rear. I will never worry about axle-wrap due to rear blocks. For the cost, you can't beat it. Plus, aftermarket springs are usually sloppy, and you will find that you cannot use as large a tire as you thought, and you can really get bouncy. The drawback is a stiffer ride, but better road handling, and your wheels will not droop as deep into gullies when you cross them.

Probably some 285/75/16 Toyo m/t's on my stock rims coming up.
