I think the stuff will out last the truck as well as the stainless strips. Just don't try running it trough a planer.

I used my Dads 36" planer to square up the Trex and now he has to have the blades resharpened

. That stuff is tough but it was pretty easy to use. It looks good therefore serving its purpose.
