I just did a Axel flip on my 67.Mine turned out to be closer toa 6.5 " drop. EDIT there is only 1 1/4 " of travel. Adding the notch wil give you a extra 1 3/4" before the axel hits the wood floor . If you have a steel floor you have a extra 1/2" before the axel hits the floor. They make the notch way too big.
