Use a high BIN and a lower reserve because most bidders have no intention of buying they just bid up the items for fun and stop within a certain price of a BIN knowing it wont go over the reserve. Well if the bidder doesnt know what the item is worth then they bid just to make someone who really wants or needs it pay more, but all of a sudden the reserve is met.
