I just did the exact same thing you are thinking about doing. I went from a 250 inline and the granny tranny to a 460 BBC with a Muncie M-22. There will be some mods, but not too many. The only real issue will be the bellcrank. Actually, for you, it might be a bit harder because you are now an auto (I just realized that you don't have a clutch pedal. Since most of these old trucks had that granny low 4 speed, all you need to do is take all the parts off of one in a wrecking yard and put it on yours. It's actually easier than you may think. The bell crank will still be the hardest part. You will probably have to do what I did, which is cut and relocate one of the z bar arms because the angle for the old setup wont be right. What sucks is that it's hardened steel. You will need a pretty hot welder. If you have a high hump, linkage won't be an issue....it will clear with no problem.
