My truck is not where I can look at it but I know the rear lines comes off of the passenger side frame rail into a rubber hose into a tee on the top of the the axel then travels along the top of the axel housing and is bent to clear the shock hangers then back down on the axel housing. Then into the backing plates.
I think this is what your talking about in the second part of your post... Correct me if I am wrong.
