if your rafters are close enough together in you shop set the tires upright over head then they out of the way as well, pluss they inside letting them sit outside in the sun is the hardest on them, as for making them easier to seat(ether) i use to do tires alot when i was in highschool a tire machine with the air injector makes quik work of it (all the tires we kept at the shop, over 50 tires are stores upright on racks)
