I used the Autometer #2514, 2 1/16" diameter, electrical fuel gauge, 0 ohm empty, 90 ohms full. It works with the original GM sending unit.

They have several styles to choose from, all of which have a part number to work with a GM sender. Take a look at www.autometer.com.
