Just for the record, GM didn't introduce the corporate 14 bolt differential until 1973. From about 1954 up thru 1972, probably the most popular 3/4 ton differential was the Eaton 10 bolt which had a drop out 3rd member and a removable rear cover. Every one of these I've had experiences with had 4.57 gears, although 4.11's were available. The second most popular rear differential was the Dana 60, which typically had 4.10 gears.
