No you don't. They sucked. It was only for the 'dog&pony show' aspect of eco-politics that they were ever produced. They never had any appreciable environmental effect, but sure diminished performance. Unless you want to donate your pristinely restored truck to the Smithsonian, or the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry for a static display of ancient life in the mid- 20th Century, you don't want A.I.R. A good tune-up does more for saving the planet than that junk ever did.
