Yes the 71/72 bumper brackets are different due to the turn signal placement in the bumper. You need 71/72 outer brackets to mount it correctly. You can move the turnsignals to the bumper and run fog/driving lights in the grill or mount driving lights in the bumper.

Thanks Bob , I have the 72's brackets , so I'll have to clean them up and use them.....
