at the shop we work at we wear latex gloves or use a acid brush. it works the best. also not to sound like and expert but when you apply most any seam sealer. you should allways use a etch primer before you seam seal or a good epoxy primer. 99.9% of seam sealers dont have any zinc in them , and that s about the only thing to halt rust. most etch primers have alot of zinc. i have never seen a epoxy primer have zinc, but any primer is better than . just seam sealer over a weld. hope this helps
