500 cfm would be enough carb for the 307, but I dont think the 600 would hurt anything.......as long as its not a Holley DP. A o-1850 Holley (vac secondaries), or a 1406 Edelbrock should be fine. either carb would need an adaptor to run on a stock Q jet manifold(I would use a 4 hole adaptor). You could also use an old Q jet......they are 750 cfm, but the air door on the secondaries wont let it be overcarbed. Good luck.....crazy AL
