Cleaned the crap out soon after I bought my truck. Went the LMC stainless screen route (although it isn't actually a 'screen'). It needed a little trimming, but otherwise fits nicely. Also, my truck is white, so you don't even notice the screen. Same story, 2 large oak trees in the front yard, full of leaves and acorns. Shade yes, cowl trash, no thanks.
