This hidden hinge thing has been a big wrench in the gears of progress for me. I've been waiting on the hinges in order to put the new lift/tailgate on, in order to do the tail-light mod, in order to finish all the welding so I can put the rear glass in...
I would have just binned the idea but I already started to "mod" the upper hinge area and didn't want to simply "repair" what I had started (might be a little bit of a pride issue there
). Actually, I really would have said forget it if Captainfab didn't come through with a pair of 60-66 Burb hinges
So now I have no excuse...
Here's the "before pic"--those stock hinges really are an eye soar for me, though I know they look fine when they're painted...
