If you remove the whole drip rail you need to weld in a filler piece to close the gap. When I am done I will have 3/16 of an inch gap all the way around.
We had to remove the whole drip rail because of rust under the drip rail.
If you are ever in the east valley you are welcome to come over and look at my truck.
